Background

Pilot Boat The Laurentian Pilotage Authority was established on February 1, 1972 under the Pilotage Act to operate an efficient pilotage service.

The Authority is a Crown corporation as defined in the Financial Administration Act, but is not an agent of the Crown.
Pilot Boat
The Board of Directors comprises a Chairman and six other members, including two pilots, two shipping industry members and two members of the general public.
