Definitions

Licence :

A document issued by the Laurentian Pilotage Authority authorising the holder to carry out pilotage duties on board any vessel. The class of the licence establishes the size of the ships the holder may pilot.

Queen Mary

Certificate :

A document issued by the Laurentian Pilotage Authority authorising the holder to carry out pilotage duties only for the ship of which he is the master or a regular member of the complement, subject to certain resctrictions (season, part of District, etc.).
